Zero-purge desiccant dryers address this issue by completely eliminating the need for purging. Instead, they rely on heated atmospheric air from external blowers, heaters, and heat exchangers during regeneration.

The external blower draws in ambient air from the environment, which is then heated by a heater to the necessary temperature for regeneration. This heated air flows through the desiccant bed, where it absorbs moisture. Once the air is saturated, it passes through a heat exchanger, where its thermal energy is captured and reused to pre-heat the incoming air from the blower.
