Rotary Compressors

Ensure efficiency with high-power air tools that function to meet
a range of industrial applications.

Rotary Air Compressors for All Your Industrial Needs

Perfect for industrial tasks that require large volumes of high-pressure air, rotary compressors can either be a scroll or screw type. These two differ in terms of capacity. If you need a smaller amount of gas, you may want to opt for the scroll type, but the screw type would be ideal if you need a larger quantity. Usually, scroll compressors are utilized by laboratories or hospitals, while their screw counterparts are used in big factories or manufacturing plants.

How Rotary Compressors Work

Rotary compressors are pneumatic devices that convert power into energy stored in pressurized air. They do so by forcing gas into a storage chamber to increase its pressure. Once the container reaches its limit, the device automatically shuts off, and the compressed air is held in the tank until it’s used. These machines usually use an electric motor, diesel, or gasoline engine to produce the required amount of compressed air. In particular, rotary compressors work by trapping air between two meshed scrolls or screws. They then reduce the volume of the trapped air as it moves down through the rotors, resulting in compressed air that can be used to power air tools, inflate products, and more.

What Are the Applications of Rotary Compressors?

Rotary compressors are utilized in various industries, serving a wide array of applications. Some of the typical uses of these compressors include the following:
10678

Power Air Tools

The use of rotary compressors to power air tools is a very common practice. They provide energy to instruments used for many purposes, such as cutting, sanding, grinding, and polishing. Some of the more common ones usually seen in factories or plants are air hammers, drills, nibblers, ratchets, saws, and screwdrivers.

Sandblasting Operations

To remove the surface layer of an object, many people opt to use a sandblasting machine due to its efficiency. This device helps remove rust and paint from metal objects and cleans and smooths out surfaces before painting or applying other finishing coats. Furthermore, they use high-velocity air to ensure that users only have to exert minimal effort during the entire process.

Food Packaging

Rotary air compressors are used in the food packaging industry to maintain the quality of products. These machines are used in different types of packaging, including vacuum bags, pouches, and cans. By putting air inside these containers, manufacturers can ensure that their products stay fresh longer and aren’t damaged during transportation.
